Membership

Association participation can be at categorized into the following levels depending upon your area of expertise and career stage.

  • Regular Members – Individuals engaged in official food, drug, cosmetic, device and environmental health control, at any level of government. Regular membership dues are US$10 per year.
  • Associate Members – Individuals not directly and officially engaged in government control duties, but who are, because of their vocation or avocation, interested or affiliated with food, drug, cosmetic and other industries and their legal and scientific associates. Associate membership dues are US$25 per year.
  • Retired Members – Individuals who during their employment held active membership in this association. Retired membership dues are US$5 per year.

Annual Conference

An annual meeting to keep MCA members up-to-date on legislative & technical advances in consumer protection is held throughout the MCA region.

“Metro” Groups

Within the MCA framework are Metro Groups, consisting of officials surrounding the major metropolitan areas of the member states. Each Metro Group meets periodically to hear lectures of timely interest and to share local problems and solutions.

Training

The MCA offers for its members an annual series of technical training programs through AFDO.

Participation and Sphere Of Influence

MCA members are eligible for participation in committees and policy-making boards. Committee work enables members to derive a sense of pride and satisfaction as they contribute to the success of their professional association and influence policies and legislation on a regional as well as national basis.

National Affiliation

MCA/AFDO members receive the AFDO newsletter, the quarterly journal, annual conference announcements, and all other AFDO mailings.
